ADC acetic acid process technology (with granted patents) covers a currently preferred route for the industrial manufacture of acetic acid from carbonylation of methanol. It offers significant improvement over traditional rhodium based catalyst technology, requires substantially less total capital investment and lower operating costs in terms of energy consumption and catalyst lose. Since its inception, ADC process technology has been successfully applied in several new / revamped commercial acetic acid plants.
1. By an integration technique of equipment, without evaporator, shortens the process dramatically;
2. Low-pressure steam produced as byproduct from the heat of reaction, can be utilized as a heat source of distillation system, reducing the energy consumption substantially;
3. A triple-column distillation process, with advanced technology of high performance column internals, significantly reduces the size of special material devices, saving investment;
4. Accurately controlling the reaction temperature, ensures a stable operation of reaction system;
5. Optimize the operation conditions, and decrease unit operating cost.
