OCP Viscosity Index Improver

Application

HiTEC 5748 additive is an olefin copolymer (OCP) VI improver recommended for use in gasoline and diesel engine lubricants, particularly when excellent shear stability and high-temperature, high-shear-rate viscosity is desired. HiTEC 5748 additive exceeds the ACEA shear stability requirements, even in wide-span viscosity grades. HiTEC 5748 additive is also a suitable viscosity index improver for use in certain industrial lubricants that require a high degree of shear stability.

Recommended Dosage

Dosages generally recommended to make the various multigrade viscosity crankcase oils are as follows:

 SAE Grade 10W30 10W40 15W40 15W50 20W40 20W50
 HiTEC 5748 Additive, %wt. 7.5 11.0 9.0 12.5 4.0 7.5
